Classical Conversations Cycle 3 - Week 7

As my previous post stated, we have recently spent some time in North Carolina.
In attempt of keeping up with schooling, we did some small projects down there but mostly took a well-deserved break.

On our drive down, Kensley and I worked on spotting different state license plates.  I was shocked at how many we actually saw!

I'm not going to lie.  It was pretty tricky to come up with activities to go along with
the War of 1812 since we don't focus on guns/fighting.

 Kensley read about Caroline, an American Girl who lived during that time period.

If nothing else, the kids enjoyed playing iwth new Play-Doh and reenacted what the war may have looked like.

For science the kids learned about the circulatory system, which ironically enough, includes the lungs;
an organ our kids are quickly becoming very well familiar with.

If you are a Classical Conversations family, please check out my previous posts for more fun ideas.
