Kensley had her first eye appointment today.
Despite having the best {and most patient} staff around, it was one of Kensley's greatest public struggles.
We survived and were thrilled with Dr. Ben's findings that she has 20/20 vision.
The only problem was, Kensley was heart broke.  She really wanted glasses... as in * really * wanted glasses!

Somewhere between tears, falsifying the facts of what she actually saw, sweating, refusing to speak and breaking out in itchy hives...
the bribe of non-prescriptions glasses came up.  For me, I gave in.  With no regrets.
Some won't agree, but they aren't Kensley's parents.
And they are the same people that probably don't know that Walmart sells glasses for $9.

What's the difference of her choosing a toy as a special treat or a pair of fashion glasses!?!

She chose the thickest frames, with the most decorative sides and ones that don't even fit her sweet little face.
What is most important is that she feels special when she wears them.

Her confidence radiates.  Her smile is contagious.  Her laughter is infectious.

And she learned that her Mama cares.  Cares about the big things and the little things and all the things in between!

I LOVE it! I think Sophie is heading that way too - she really wants glasses like Bella has. It's funny, because when I was little I never wanted to wear my glasses!!
