Happy Birthday Spot Splatter Splash {October 25}

Kensley is still very into her mini Lalaloopsy dolls... or anything Lalaloopsy for that matter.
A friend gave us a coupon and as a treat Kensley got to pick out a new set yesterday just because.

If you aren't familiar with the dolls, they each come with a "sewn date"; kind of like their own special Birthday.

Wouldn't you know that Splat, the older sister, was sewn on TODAY'S date!

That left us with no option but to celebrate her, right?

Birthday breakfast in Spot's honor - chocolate chip waffles with two types of sprinkles.

I had several fun activities planned throughout the day... first up was painting of portrait of Spot and her pet.

We met Rob for a special lunch at Las Truncas.
 We ordered a fried ice cream and the waiter let Kensley wear the sombrero in celebration of her doll's birthday.
 Imagine our surprise when we discovered he didn't charge us for Spot's dessert.
{Fear not, he received a generous tip for making our daughter's day extra special}

 Our afternoon was filled with Spot School as Kensley called it and we later relaxed and watched a movie
with all of Spot's friends that could easily be rounded up.  They weren't all present but I grabbed the ones I quickly saw.

After dinner I plunked a candle in a mini apple cinnamon muffin and we sang Happy Birthday to Spot.
Kensley blew out her candle and told us that Spot wished for a new paint set.

Today is just what we all needed.  A day filled with nonsense, laughter and celebration!
