Shamrocks & Rainbows

We celebrate St. Patrick's Day differently than the world;
we celebrate with SHAMROCKS and RAINBOWS.

SHAMROCKS: A reminder of the trinity; Father, Son & Holy Spirit
RAINBOWS: A reminder of God's many promises.

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
Romans 12:2

Danni, a friend at our church {owner of Pumpkin-Head's Boutique} made Kensley this adorable fluffy bow.
The new accessory was the *perfect* start to our fun-filled day.
We snatched up a box of special edition Lucky Charms.
I found these fun shamrock shaped straws at Target for $0.33 each.
Yes, the marshmallows dyed her mouth green; she thought it was silly!
I made the boys gluten-free green shamrock-shaped pancakes.
Unlike Kensley, the boys were too hungry to pose for cute pictures.
For lunch, I prepared a fruit/veggie tray and chicken salad spinach wraps.
Despite all of the tasty options, Nolan only ate the key lime pie yogurt.
For dinner, I made green pepper philly cheese steak sandwiches with green beans.
The kids LOVED the green beans... even asked for seconds.
Because they ate them so well they earned cookies and ice cream for dessert.
The kids have enjoyed picking up green and rainbow treats and toys over the past few weeks.
No, they didn't eat all of this candy.  We have packaged up goody boxes for a few of their closest friends,
but I will admit that today was filled with lots of sugar...
smiles... and...
