Baby It's Cold Outside!

Today we were invited to Lucinda's...
Entering her home was like entering a magazine.
She has everything decorated perfectly for Christmas!
She welcomed us at the door and the kids rushed to the bathroom where a step stool was waiting for them
so that they could easily wash their hands with reindeer soap and dried off with little festive hand towels.
She also had special little aprons laid out for the kids to wear.
Lucinda set up a little table for the kids to make their cocoa and enjoy a cookie.

Kensley added sprinkles, sprinkles and more sprinkles!
The kids took a little break and snuggled up on the couch and read Christmas stories...
... and ate a bunch of candy.
Then began round #2.
They started mixing and making new cocoa recipes all over again.
I can't wait for Lucinda to post pictures of her house pictures on her blog.
It was simply amazing.
 No detail was over looked.
The best part about the day was when we first got there she told the kids that it was okay to make messes.
That accidents would happen, and it wouldn't be a big deal.

Over all the kids did a fairly good job of keeping things clean
(minus the white bath towel that Kensley used to wipe chocolate off her face with).

They got to be kids.
Kids without worries about sprinkles on the floor.
Kids that didn't have to try and do things perfectly.
Kids who had so much fun they didn't want to leave.
Lucinda, thank you for teaching me a valuable lesson today!

They are just messes; they will clean up.
They are little; soon they will grow up.

What a fun, fun day!! They were so very well behaved. I love these pictures. Their little faces were so precious...really concentrating on mixing that cocoa correctly.
